Dr. David Herrin received post graduate education and training through the prestigious Spine Research Institute of San Diego studying under the guidance of Dr. Arthur Croft, PhD, DC, MS, MPH, FACO. During his training with Dr. Croft, Dr. Herrin completed the certification program titled 'Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology'. 

 

This Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology series consisted of 4 modules covering the following topics:

 

1.  Whiplash Advanced Topics:  The Fundamental Science

 

2.  Management Principles in Personal Injury and Forensic Documentation

3.  Principles in Impairment Rating and Forensic Reporting

 

4.  Medicolegal Fundamentals for Practitioners and Forensic Experts

Dr. Herrin attained post-doctorate Continuing Medical Education (CME) in MRI Spine Interpretation and Spinal Biomechanical Engineering through the University at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. Herrin utilizes scientifically validated testing, procedures, and guidelines to objectify the presence of soft tissue injuries and provide the best care possible to our patients.    These include:

  • The most advanced diagnostic technology including Computerized Radiographic Mensuration Analysis (CRMA) to objectively grade the severity of ligament injury.  

             

  • Thorough consultation with the patient including present and past pertinent medical history.

 

  • Periodic and consistent orthopedic and neurological evaluations to document case progression.

 

  • We adhere to nationally recognized care guidelines for whiplash injuries.

  • Case Review and Narrative Reports:  If Treasure Valley Chiropractic Spine Management is the treating facility, all cases are concluded with a comprehensive narrative report.  If we are not the treating facility and you would like an expert opinion, a Plaintiff IME, case review, and narrative report can be provided.
