What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a healthcare profession focused on disorders and care of the musculoskeletal and delicate nervous system in relation to bodily function and general health. Biomechanical structure dictates function in many ways. Chiropractic adjustments affect the nervous system much like the circuit breaker and electrical relay systems in a home, and chiropractic is most commonly used to treat (not limited to):

  • Back pain

  • Neck pain

  • Pain in the arms and legs

  • Headaches

  • Migraines

  • Much more...

Chiropractic Doctors utilize a hands-on, drug-free approach to care and can employ gentle methods of corrective treatment as necessary. Chiropractors are trained as portal-of-entry providers to evaluate, treat within their scope of practice, co-manage musculoskeletal conditions, and refer to other providers. We have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.

The new breed of highly trained doctors of chiropractic are the future of spine care. Focused on accurate diagnosis, prognosis, and evidence-based conservative treatment for mechanical spine pain, we apply a collaborative model of care working with other medical providers, as needed, and within the medical profession to best help those we care for each day.
